How long do I have to bring a lawsuit against those who are legally responsible for my personal injuries?

Return to Videos

Transcript:

In Rhode Island you have three years from the time you were injured to bring most personal injury cases. There are some exceptions to that. There are a few statutes that are shorter than that, but they are rare, and there are times when the statute of limitations does not begin to run against the person because of their age. If you are under 18 the three years does not start to run until you turn 18.
